According to the site, you can fill out an order form or call with an order off of their regular deli menu. Gere-a-Deli is also offering delivery to businesses or homes for orders over $20.00. I actually tried the order online and pick-up option today while meeting with my local lender for lunch. I chose my favorite, veggie pocket that is filled with cream cheese, avocado, swiss cheese, sprouts, cucumbers, carrots & tomatoes all wrapped up in a warm pita pocket. Not only was ordering easy, but they also delivered to my car. Overall, this experience was a 10/10! New Local Take-Out Options This week Washington Governor, Jay Inslee, closed all restaurants and bars (for dining in) due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Our small town of Anacortes stepped up to the challenge and adapted to the temporary law by adding many take out and delivery options. Throughout the next week or so, I will be providing my community with a daily blog post highlighting one of our many local businesses/restaurants and what they are doing to stay safe while still serving the community.

Ciao Bella For curb-side pickup, call (360) 873-8288 Today’s Feature: Ciao Bella The other night, I checked out a local Italian restaurant called Ciao Bella. I wanted to order from them because I have always loved their pizza and when I called to order they told me they would bring it out to my car. I got the quattro formaggi pizza, which is their homemade white sauce, provolone, parmigiano, mozzarella, and topped with smoked mozzarella. It is so good! When I got there, I saw a woman inside cleaning the door handles. This showed me that they are taking very good care to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The man working there was so kind, helpful, and considerate of the health of me, themselves, and everyone else. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for good quality Italian in the area (Specifically the quattro formaggi pizza).
Safe & Local Food Options: Costco
Costco is famous right now for due to Americans buying out their stock of toilet paper, water bottles, and Clorox wipes in just a matter of days. Costco has made some major changes to adjust to what health officials are suggesting and creating a great experience for consumers. I visited Costco yesterday and had a wonderful experience. I didn’t have to wait in line but was told that the reason the line is there is because they are only allowing a certain number of shoppers in the store at a time so that social distancing can be easily practiced. It is important that shoppers at any store remain 6 feet from each other. Costco is also wiping down carts, putting limits on essential items like water bottles and toilet paper, and have now opened the store on Tuesdays and Thursdays for members 60 years of age or older and members with physical disabilities to shop between 8:00am and 9:00am. 3/22/2020 Costco was fully stocked with water! If you still don’t want to physically visit the store, Costco has partnered with Instacart to deliver groceries straight to your door! You can either download the Instacart app or visit Costco’s website and choose “same day delivery”. To make it even more user friendly, the user can choose what day you and window of time you’d prefer that they get delivered. Note: the prices are a little bit higher per item
